At the factory, we have to clock out at the machine by the door.

'Clock out' can be used even if there isn't a physical clock involved. 
With flexible work, I clock out by sending an end-of-day email.
Pro Tip 3/3End of Responsibility
Implies that you are no longer responsible for work tasks until your next shift. 
Once I clock out, I don't answer work calls.
